Services

I provide services one-on-one via Zoom in partnership with the Alma network. With their support, I am able to focus solely on building authentic relationships with my clients, so we can work together on exploring your goals and needs, growing your strength and self-confidence, and thriving in day to day life.

Not Currently Accepting New Clients

As availability opens, you may schedule a free 15-30 minute consultation by phone via my Alma portal. You will receive a confirmation of your appointment via email; if you do not recieve this in your inbox, please check your junk/spam folder to ensure and add the sender to your contacts list, to ensure you receive future appointment information.

Notice for Trans and Nonbinary Clients

As you are aware, access to Gender Affirming Care for Trans and Nonbinary individuals in the state of Florida is under severe threat. As a licensed therapist in the state of Florida, I am subject to the laws and regulations set forth by the state legislature. Due to this, I am unable to provide any services related to Gender Identity for individuals under the age of 18. However, I am also subject to the NASW Code of Ethics as a professional social worker, therefore I have a duty to provide culturally competent care to my clients, which includes LGBTQ+ clients. This means that I will continue provide care to anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+, and that all clients will be treated with dignity, kindness and respect, regardless of age or diagnostic status.

Therapy Wherever You Are

I offer counseling services exclusively online, which means we can meet from the comfort of your own home, or any other location that is safe and convenient for you. You will receive a reminder for your appointment time by email – please be mindful of the time and prepare to sign in when our appointment is scheduled. If you are experiencing technical difficulties, we can make alternative arrangements by phone once we have moved past the “intake” phase of our therapeutic relationship.

Consultation

When engaging in a therapeutic relationship, it is important to find a therapist who fits your style and expectations - that is why I offer free 15 minute consultations to anyone interested in engaging in the therapy process. We will briefly discuss your challenges, goals and preferences before deciding to commit to ongoing sessions.

Individual Therapy

Your next session will be scheduled within one to two weeks, depending on your preference. We will explore goals and move into direct discussion about your stressors. You are the master of your experience, so I generally encourage you to set the agenda for each session so we can use your time to discuss whatever is most important to you.

Assessment

Once we agree that we are a good fit for ongoing services, we will engage in the "intake phase" of services, which includes a Biopsychosocial Assessment. This is our opportunity to explore family medical and mental health history, personal history of mental health challenges, and general functioning.

Letters of Support

If you are in need of a Letter of Support for FLMA, Emotional Support Animals, 504 Educational Accommodations or Gender-Affirming Hormone Treatment (for adult clients only), we will engage in a secondary assessment process for each individual purpose. Letters of support are available after approximately six successive sessions.
